The position provides exposure to system-level testing, software development, and telecommunications environments within a collaborative engineering team.
Requirements
- Technology degree/diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate within a technical environment
- Application of programming or scripting in an academic or professional setting
- Interest in system testing, software development, or network operations
Nice To Haves
- Application of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript
- Prior co-op or internship in a programming, scripting, or software testing environment
- Experience working in an Information Technology environment
- Exposure to telecommunications networks or fiber-optic communications
Responsibilities
- Execute system-level testing to validate performance and reliability of next-generation network products
- Build and configure telecommunications network environments for testing and analysis
- Develop scripts and automation tools to improve test efficiency and team productivity
- Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate across teams to identify and resolve defects
- Maintain and organize databases supporting test workflows and data management
- Analyze test results and document findings to support product enhancements
- Apply knowledge of optical communications, networking, and software technologies to evolving project requirements
