The position provides exposure to system-level testing, software development, and telecommunications environments within a collaborative engineering team.

Requirements

  • Technology degree/diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate within a technical environment
  • Application of programming or scripting in an academic or professional setting
  • Interest in system testing, software development, or network operations

Nice To Haves

  • Application of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript
  • Prior co-op or internship in a programming, scripting, or software testing environment
  • Experience working in an Information Technology environment
  • Exposure to telecommunications networks or fiber-optic communications

Responsibilities

  • Execute system-level testing to validate performance and reliability of next-generation network products
  • Build and configure telecommunications network environments for testing and analysis
  • Develop scripts and automation tools to improve test efficiency and team productivity
  • Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate across teams to identify and resolve defects
  • Maintain and organize databases supporting test workflows and data management
  • Analyze test results and document findings to support product enhancements
  • Apply knowledge of optical communications, networking, and software technologies to evolving project requirements
