About The Position

As a TV Tester, you'll play a key role in diagnosing, testing, and repairing a variety of televisions and related electronics within our fast-paced Geek Squad City environment. You'll evaluate product functionality, perform troubleshooting and repairs, accurately document testing outcomes, and help ensure products meet quality standards before moving to the next stage of processing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working with the latest consumer electronics.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of experience testing, diagnosing, or repairing televisions.
  • Experience working in a service depot, repair center, refurbishment facility, or similar technical environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills.
  • Knowledge of television technologies, electronic components, and repair processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with repair tracking systems and documentation is considered an asset.
  • Computer Electronics Diploma, Computer Studies, Electronics Technology, or a combination of relevant training and experience is preferred.
  • Electronics training or industry certification is considered an asset.
  • A+ Certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Test, diagnose, and repair a variety of television products and related electronic equipment.
  • Perform detailed fault determination and troubleshooting to identify product issues.
  • Complete repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner while meeting established quality standards.
  • Ensure a high rate of first-time repair completion through accurate diagnosis and testing.
  • Verify repaired units are fully functional and meet operational and quality requirements.
  • Support additional testing, repair activities, and special projects as assigned.
  • Conduct functional testing on repaired, returned, and refurbished televisions.
  • Complete and maintain repair records, testing documentation, and required paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Accurately enter repair, testing, and inventory information into internal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, operational procedures, and company policies.
  • Identify potential security or process risks and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Obtain required repair parts from the parts group in a timely manner.
  • Return defective parts promptly for vendor processing and warranty claims.
  • Assist in tracking inventory movement and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support workflow management to ensure efficient repair operations.
  • Safely perform material handling duties involving televisions, parts, and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to support operational goals and customer satisfaction.
