BAE Systems is seeking a full-time onsite Test / Product Engineer to join the Technical Operations F-15 Sustainment team in Merrimack, NH. Technical Operations is a rapidly growing discipline working with the Engineering organization with the mission to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable products which are integrated across all levels of Sustainment test. Test Engineers are responsible for developing and maintaining the test solutions to improve product testability and while improving yield throughout the test process. Test engineer will participate in corrective action board, provide training to technicians in the art of troubleshooting and to optimize throughput. Test engineers are responsible for all F-15 products within Sustainment, offering guidance to all phases of the test and troubleshooting process including recommendations of rework and test options to correct failed hardware. Responsibilities include working with all engineering disciplines to provide guidance for transitioning new hardware from Production to Sustainment, providing support to the Air Force Maintenance Facility (Depot) and supporting hardware test verification activities to certify hardware test solutions. Subject matter expert on the product, or at least being the first stop for debugging and troubleshooting hardware returned from the field in operations as well as recommending rework and test options to correct failed hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Current Secret Clearance as well as the ability to obtain a special access clearance
  • 5+ years of experience in manufactering
  • Experienced in test solution hardware integration
  • Experience with various test equipment including: Power Supplies, Digital I/O, Oscilloscopes, Switch Matrices, DMMs, Counter/Timers, from various manufacturers including but not limited to Keysight, National Instruments, Teradyne, Tektronix, VTI
  • Knowledge of test instruments and their use
  • Skilled in test techniques for RF subassemblies including switch matrixes, oscillators, up convertors and down convertors.
  • Skilled at testing hardware, including understanding RF, circuits/assemblies, digital, and analog devices
  • Understand test techniques and practices to ensure testing is optimized for cost, quality and schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Be very comfortable in a test environment with 7+ years of experience functioning as a Test / Product Engineer
  • Experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Experience with mentoring Technicians
  • Familiar with Process Engineering responsibilities
  • Define, integrate, and maintain hardware test requirements and test performance
  • Initiate continuous improvement of our electronic controls as a response to acceptance test yields and delivered quality metrics
  • Six Sigma Certified
