The Product Support Specialist at VAL-CO Industries is a pivotal individual contributor responsible for delivering exceptional technical support and training to both internal and external customers. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical principles to effectively communicate and align customers' experiences with our business goals and core values. You will assist customers in resolving product quality and application issues while identifying root causes of challenges and facilitating effective resolutions. Engaging in field support, you'll oversee product installation, project management, and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive product information and training, contribute to collaborative technical solutions, and maintain documentation of product and customer interactions. With opportunities for travel and involvement in training initiatives, you will cultivate expertise across all product lines and forge strong connections with dealers and end-users, ensuring their needs are met while supporting VAL-CO's mission of integrity and respect in the agriculture industry.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree in Mechanics or Electronics.
  • At least three years of relevant field experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Multi-lingual skills, particularly in Spanish.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to navigate uneven surfaces.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel overnight to customer locations including international locations.
  • Ability to work analytically with variables true and perceived.
  • Demonstrate general conduct consistent with good character and reflective of the VAL-CO published core values.
