About The Position

Mustang Cat is hiring a Product Support Sales Representative to grow and support parts and service sales for our Electric Power Generation (EPG) customers. Based in Houston, Texas, this high-impact role focuses on building trusted relationships, offering generator service solutions, and supporting long-term customer success with CAT power systems. If you have a passion for delivering results, technical knowledge of power generation equipment, and the drive to support critical infrastructure customers, this role offers the tools, autonomy, and team to help you thrive. As an EPG Product Support Representative, you’ll be the face of Mustang’s Power Systems support team—working closely with clients to ensure their generators and electrical systems run reliably.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Technical, Engineering or related field (Equivalent experience may be considered in place of degree)
  • 2+ years of experience in the Electric Power Generation (EPG) industry
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a defined sales territory
  • Strong technical knowledge of generators, switchgear, and electrical systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal & written)
  • Proven customer relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of motivation, organization, and customer focus

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual – English/Spanish
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT) generator systems

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new and existing customer accounts in a defined territory
  • Promote Mustang Cat’s EPG parts and service capabilities with confidence
  • Respond to and qualify inbound leads from customers and partners
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with a long-term mindset
  • Prepare quotes, business plans, service agreements, and sales proposals
  • Use CRM tools like Salesforce to manage pipeline and track communications
  • Collaborate with technical and field service teams to meet customer needs
  • Stay up to date with EPG products, industry trends, and customer applications
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
