About The Position

The Product Support Engineer serves as a technical subject matter expert for LPG and NH₃ valve products, supporting customers, distributors, sales teams, and internal operations. This role bridges engineering, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to ensure product performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 0-4 years of experience in regulated manufacturing field.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, sealing technologies, and pressure vessel/valve design fundamentals.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed for customer or field support.

Nice To Haves

• Engineering internship a plus.
• Experience with 3D CAD, preferred experience with AutoCAD Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engineering change orders within PLM database.
• Investigate product performance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions.
• Support New Product Development (NDP) & New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts including validation testing and technical training.
• Execute product improvements and design changes based on voice of customer.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities through Gemba walks, root cause analysis, and other cost saving initiatives.
• Contribute to cost reduction and VAVE initiatives.
• Support on-site troubleshooting as required.
• Serve on a team of product experts for pressure relief valves, internal valves, excess flow valves, and related LPG/NH₃ components.
• Assist with custom configurations and application-specific solutions.
• Support development and maintenance of technical documentation including product manuals, installation guides, and technical bulletins.
• Maintain item database in ERP for production support.
• Ensure products meet applicable standards and certifications (e.g., ASME, UL, DOT, NFPA, ANSI as applicable).
• Support audits and certification activities as needed.
• Monitor industry trends and evolving regulations impacting LPG and NH₃ equipment.
• Contribute to knowledge base development and internal technical training resources.
