About The Position

We are seeking a Product Support Engineer to join our NCA Mill Lining team. You will be responsible for coordinating Mill Lining design and application support. Your role plays a crucial part in being the main point of contact between the USA market area customers and business line. The product support engineer will need to be creative to work through complex problems to meet competing customer objectives, contract obligations, manufacturing challenges, and tight schedules. In this position you will report to the Mill Lining Product Support Manager for NCA. This position is mainly located at Metso’s York, PA or Mesa, AZ office but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements and locations such as Salt Lake City, UT. However, it involves up to 30% of travel both domestically and internationally to customer sites. You will join a team of detailed individuals dedicated to providing Optimized support, coordinating solutions, and driving new Mill Lining opportunities. We work closely with customers, local market area, order entry project teams, and engineering. Our team culture is all about finding creative solutions and guiding strategies. The members in our team are located in Irapuato, Mexico & York, PA & Sudbury, Ontario.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field is required.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant industry experience, ideally working with wear lining products or in product support roles.
  • Deep understanding of grinding processes and mill operations, with a strong technical background.
  • Experience with 2D/3D design software is required.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • Willing and able to travel both locally and internationally

Nice To Haves

  • Applications such as Autodesk AutoCAD or Inventor is a plus.
  • knowledge of Spanish is an added advantage.

  • Develop and propose tailored Mill Lining solutions, driving innovation and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the execution of strategic initiatives to expand our Mill Lining business in the region.
  • Work on complex optimization projects, coordinating global expert teams to deliver solutions that meet tight deadlines and exceed expectations.
  • Guide the opportunity strategy and maintain strong communication with all key stakeholders.
  • Take a proactive role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, creating winning solution plans.
  • Drive long-term growth with existing customers through trust, performance, and value-added services.
  • Provide technical and commercial support for sales contracts, ensuring we meet both customer and business needs.
