About The Position

As a Product Strategy Associate at Aptiv, you will support strategic product and business decisions across our Advanced Safety and Intelligent Systems portfolio. Based in Boston in a hybrid work model, you will partner with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Corporate Strategy, and executive leadership to translate market, customer, technology, and financial inputs into clear recommendations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career strategy professional with a consulting or similarly analytical background to contribute to high-impact decisions in ADAS, software-defined vehicles, and vehicle intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related analytical field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or another analytical role. Relevant internship or project experience will be considered.
  • Strong structured and hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguity and synthesize clear recommendations.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, including storylining, slide writing, decision framing, and concise verbal communication.
  • Experience with market sizing, competitive analysis, financial modeling, business cases, or investment prioritization.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to create polished, executive-ready materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent English communication skills and ability to travel approximately 5–10%, including internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with automotive, ADAS, mobility, semiconductors, software platforms, or adjacent deep-tech industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support product strategy for ADAS software, systems, vehicle intelligence, safety software, and feature portfolios.
  • Evaluate product opportunities based on customer value, market attractiveness, technical feasibility, profitability, strategic fit, and Aptiv’s right to win.
  • Connect market-backed strategy with product requirements, roadmap choices, and differentiated value propositions.
  • Analyze market trends, OEM roadmaps, customer needs, regulatory developments, competitor positioning, pricing dynamics, and technology disruptions.
  • Identify growth opportunities, risks, and implications for Aptiv’s product and portfolio strategy.
  • Synthesize complex research into concise insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Build strategic business cases and financial models covering revenue potential, investment needs, resource trade-offs, pricing considerations, and commercial upside.
  • Develop data-backed prioritization frameworks to support roadmap, resource, and portfolio decisions.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into clear problem statements, hypotheses, analytical workplans, and recommendations.
  • Create concise, executive-ready slides, narratives, market assessments, and decision materials.
  • Partner across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Product Marketing, Corporate Strategy, and customer-facing teams.
  • Support leadership reviews, product roadmap discussions, investment decisions, and customer-facing engagements.
