Product Set Up Specialist

Life is Good•Boston, MA

About The Position

Every product request that comes through Life is Good passes through you first. Across SMU briefs, Quick Turns, recolors, and more, you catch what's missing, confirm what's accurate, and make sure nothing moves forward until it's right. It's steady, detailed work, the kind that rewards focus over flash, and the kind that keeps the entire product process running without friction. If you find real satisfaction in precision, in being the person who gets the details correct so no one else has to fix them later, this is your seat at the table.

Requirements

Experience with apparel product development, product coordination, or a similarly detail-heavy, high-volume operational role.
Comfortable working across multiple systems (PLM/Centric-type systems, Excel) and switching between many concurrent, differently-paced requests.
Strong attention to detail — this role is a check on accuracy before requests move downstream to Design/Production.
Ability to communicate clearly and proactively in writing, following up directly with internal departments and external partners.
Ability to work independently once trained, while flagging issues and workload conflicts rather than defaulting to yes on everything.

Nice To Haves

Accuracy and follow-through to high-volume work — catching errors before they move downstream and flagging issues before they compound.
Ability to manage many concurrent, differently-paced requests without losing track of what's pending, in progress, or blocked.
Proactive communication across departments and partners so status is always visible and no one has to chase for an update.
Understanding of the impact of our mission and the Life is Good Superpowers.
Skilled and comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Ability to give and receive feedback thoughtfully and constructively.
Known for having a positive impact on those around you.

Responsibilities

Executes day-to-day item setup and request fulfillment across all item setup intake types — SMU briefs, Quick Turn, Weekly Recolors, Keep It Simple, Corporate orders, Name Drop, and Playmaker Project requests.
Works daily in Rocket and Centric to complete item creation, GAN lookup, vendor and collection assignment, and final SAP submission.
Reviews incoming briefs for accuracy before routing to the Design/Production Art team — checking item numbers, colors, and completeness to avoid rework and back-and-forth.
Coordinates with the Design/Production Art department on line sheets, mechanicals, and imagery timing.
Manages requests from the Wholesale department — SMU briefs and seasonal pre-plan (including Peru production) handoffs.
Manages requests from the eComm department — Quick Turn (recurring twice-weekly cadence) and Weekly Recolor batches.
Handles Corporate order setup, including D2G activation coordination when items print via D2G.
Supports requests from the Playmaker Project (internal nonprofit partner) for event-based custom orders.
Coordinates with the Sourcing department for production pricing quotes on imported/Peru-produced items, and with the Purchasing and Planning department to reconcile blanks inventory.
Logs and updates every request in the shared request board, keeping status current so departmental workload is visible without relying on email threads.
