About The Position

This position is accountable for building customer orders by placing product on pallets throughout the warehouse, filling the order by locating products and building a stable load. The role involves operating warehouse vehicles and equipment safely, learning product details, and preparing customer orders for shipment using technology like iPods and scanners. Responsibilities include collecting product, building stable pallets, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, ensuring order accuracy, and reporting efficiency improvements to management. The job also requires accurately pulling product, staging orders, adding tags, collecting breakers, stacking pallets neatly, and cleaning assigned aisles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work with computer programs associated with the performance of the position.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Decision making, thoroughness and time management a must.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must pass all pre-employment screenings including a physical, drug test and background investigation.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse operation and learn product locations.
  • Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
  • Must be able to constantly lift 20-50 lbs. and frequently up to 160 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment (pallet jacks, walkie-riders, forklifts) in a safe manner and without accidents.
  • Be aware of others around you.
  • Avoid damage to the product.
  • Avoid injuries.
  • Perform daily Walkie Rider / Pallet Jack inspections.
  • Learn all product / date codes.
  • Perform a combination of tasks to prepare customer orders for shipment while using iPod and scanner.
  • Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment through all areas of the warehouse to collect product from pallets, rollers and other storage areas.
  • Build a stable pallet containing a variety of shapes and sizes.
  • Assist in keeping warehouse clean and orderly, clean up trash, level pallets, and take out trash.
  • Make sure all package products are correct on each order.
  • Report to warehouse management anything that will contribute to more efficient warehouse activities.
  • Accurately pull product and stage orders at QA station.
  • Add tags to pallets at QA station.
  • Collect breakers and deposit in the repack room.
  • Ensure pallets are stacked neatly.
  • Clean assigned aisles; sweep, plastic removal and down stack.
