About The Position

Boeing is hiring for an Experienced Product Security Engineer (Software) to join their team. This role involves contributing to the design and development efforts for key computing assets embedded in advanced Boeing defense platforms. The engineer will be part of the Boeing Anti-Tamper Engineering Capability Center, responsible for protecting critical computers across all defense products. This position focuses on software development, including requirements definition, software architecture creation, design implementation, and testing of security solutions and computing devices. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to products across Boeing's entire defense portfolio, spanning both hardware and software domains.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience supporting Military/Defense customers.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the anti-tamper or product security domains.
  • Experience in requirements analysis.
  • Experience or interest in cryptography, secure communications protocols and reverse engineering techniques at a system and component level.
  • Experience or interest in commercial off the shelf (COTS) FPGA's and COTS security features.
  • Experience in design, development, and integration of complex electronic systems or subsystems.
  • Current US Top Secret Clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support development programs, research efforts, and strategic initiatives in the areas of Product Security / Anti-Tamper.
  • Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Work with platform chief engineers, chief architects, and team leads to define platform architectures and implementations that will allow the fielding and sales of the most advanced tactical capabilities.
