Requirements

  • An AS/BS degree in a scientific or technical field, or a High School Diploma with 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and support cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to perform environmental and allergen sampling following established QA protocols.
  • Willingness to take ownership of training and qualified individual tasks within the site’s Food/Feed Safety Plan.

Nice To Haves

  • Fundamental understanding of Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Experience or familiarity with document control processes in a regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Support all Rochester Manufacturing activities related to quality and food safety to ensure full compliance with corporate, divisional, and local guidelines.
  • Participate in maintaining the site’s integrated Quality Management Systems, including FSSC 22000, FAMI-QS, Dietary Ingredients and Supplements, and GMP standards.
  • Engage closely with Process Technicians to ensure accurate implementation of quality and food safety protocols.
  • Release, review, and close Production Batch Records in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections, sanitation verifications, and raw material pre-weigh verifications.
  • Conduct document control activities, including issuing Master Manufacturing Records, reviewing batch records, updating logs, and maintaining records.
  • Act as a facilitator/coach for HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices, and product quality/safety topics.
  • Assist with internal audits covering Quality, Food Safety, GMP, and Dietary Supplements.
  • Participate in the site’s Food Safety Team, GMP auditing team, and team meetings to support daily priorities.
