Manage regulatory activities to support the product safety landscape. Will contribute to team deliverables by evaluating and validating data sources, ensuring regulatory compliance. Will respond to and resolve customer issues. Key Responsibilities: Manage regulatory activities to support the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), and Health Canada compliance for AkzoNobel Marine, Protective and Yacht Coatings for AkzoNobel North America. Maintain working knowledge of relevant North America chemicals regulations. Update team members as required. Develop a good understanding of customer needs and relevant regulatory topics affecting the business, especially as it relates to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) Compliance and Labeling. Respond to internal customers and resolve raw material and/or product issues accurately and in a timely fashion. Prepare data in response to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Health Canada reporting requirements. Review and approve consumer and industrial labels, ensuring regulatory compliance for the region. Identify potential non compliances and areas of risk to the business and offer solutions. Assist team members in other regulatory areas such as biocidal registrations and raw material compliance. Identify and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of standard procedures. Contribute to cross functional project teams as required.
