About The Position

Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineer) to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team in Huntsville, AL. This role focuses on Material Review and Disposition, involving troubleshooting non-conformances, conducting Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis, and providing solutions for non-conforming products. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional and production engineering teams to achieve production program objectives. The PAC-3 Seeker team is a dedicated group focused on safety, execution, LEAN manufacturing, and business practices to deliver a superior product.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Knowledge of repair concepts and methodologies including standard repair processes, component repair concepts, structural and composite repair procedures, electrical repair procedures, and basic system repair processes
2+ years of experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority (including participating in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to repairs)
Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime if required
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

5+ year Material Review Board Certification experience
5+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
5+ years Production engineering experience with relevant technological knowledge
Experience in solving simple to complex problems
5+ years Electrical/mechanical system knowledge, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair methodology
Knowledge of circuit card manufacturing, including Selective Solder and SMT
5 + years Functional system level testing

Responsibilities

Performing SPC reviews and Seeker Troubleshooting
Applies basic knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles to develop interim or final engineering solutions to product/process issues throughout the production lifecycle
Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances
Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues to develop interim and final engineering solutions
Provides written dispositions for routine design non-conformances
Participates in Material Review Boards (As Required)
Represents the engineering community in the production environment, providing lineside support
Recommends simple non-destructive test procedures, tools, standards
Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards
Develops and implements product/process improvements
This position may require shift flexibility, based on business needs
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed, based on business needs
Non-standard work week options may also be utilized to meet business objectives
