About The Position

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a highly skilled Product Repair Technician supporting the C-17 Globemaster III. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact aircraft readiness and mission success for experienced aviation professionals who thrive in high-stakes environments. In this role, you’ll perform advanced repair, modification, and maintenance work on complex aircraft systems—ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence for one of the most critical airlift platforms in the world.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and 4+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working at heights with fall protection equipment (225 lb limit)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience identifying safety risks and hazardous conditions
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience performing repair, maintenance, and retrofit work
  • Ability to pass Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and respirator physicals
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on C-17 aircraft platforms
  • Knowledge of live aircraft operations and multi-system maintenance, including pneumatic, hydraulic, structural, electrical, and propulsion systems
  • Ability to interpret USAF Technical Orders and C-17 blueprints
  • Experience in high-paced, schedule-driven environments with strict quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble, modify, and repair aerospace systems and components
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify and resolve faults
  • Perform and oversee system testing, validation, and verification
  • Configure aircraft systems and test equipment
  • Inspect completed work to ensure flight worthiness and compliance standards
  • Document repairs, test results, and modifications in alignment with regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Support training activities and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety practices, including working at heights with fall protection
