About The Position

The Product Regulatory Compliance Specialist supports Toshiba's product compliance program by helping ensure products meet applicable regulatory, environmental, and industry requirements. This role monitors changing regulations, conducts compliance assessments, manages supplier data, supports audits and customer inquiries, and assists with compliance reporting and documentation. The Specialist works closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Legal, Sales, and other stakeholders to integrate compliance requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Material Science, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in product compliance, product stewardship, regulatory affairs, environmental compliance, or a related technical field within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of TSCA, PFAS, REACH, RoHS, Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals, EPR, EU PPWR and other product regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, IEC, UL, IEEE, or similar standards.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Japanese and/or Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of product compliance policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Complete required compliance activities and reports under applicable regulations, including TSCA, PFAS, REACH, RoHS, Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), EU PPWR, and Department of Energy requirements.
  • Conduct product/material compliance assessments and track compliance actions through completion.
  • Coordinate supplier outreach, data collection, and documentation reviews.
  • Support customer, supplier, regulatory body, and certification inquiries by preparing compliance documentation and declarations.
  • Track emerging U.S. and international product regulations, evaluate business impact, and recommend compliance actions.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and status updates to communicate compliance performance and priorities.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, Legal, and Sales teams to implement compliance requirements into business processes.
  • Support compliance training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and industry organizations as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation management and corrective action tracking.
