About The Position

The Product Quality Engineer (PQE) is an integral role in the Global Operations organization and key liaison with ADI Business Units. The PQE is responsible for leading teams to resolve complex customer quality issues and for continuous improvement in new product design and test standards. The PQE takes a lead role in problem solving, coordinating resources across organizations and geographic regions to drive issues to closure, and to communicate the results in written reports. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple products, to interface internally across Quality, Operations and Businesses and to support customers through our field sales and customer quality engineering (CQE) teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an electrical or computer engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5-year experience in product quality, product engineering, test engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Project management and leadership skills with experience in achieving milestones in a cross-functional team by driving complex issues to closure.
  • Strong organizational skills to multi-task, manage rapidly changing priorities, and cope with ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in analyzing electrical performance data, yields and manufacturing performance to drive quality improvement.
  • Experience with test hardware, test processes or test code development and debug.
  • Experience with automotive customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional global 8D teams to ensure expedient resolution of customer quality issues from initiation to closure.
  • Facilitate the use of structured problem-solving tools (Is/Is-Not, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone, 5-why) to drive root cause investigations and develop effective corrective actions (occurrence, escape, and systemic).
  • Drive lessons learned and preventive actions into the new product development process to improve product quality and risk management.
  • Coordinate the implementation and/or development of test-related quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in product quality and test quality.
  • Create a collaborative team environment, resolving conflicts to ensure goals are met.
  • Promote engagement with manufacturing, business units, and quality management.
  • Execute fast, effective containment.
  • Write reports for customers, ensure updates are provided on schedule and maintain accurate records in internal systems.
  • Support CQE team in customer quality communication.
