About The Position

Steel Tool & Engineering Co. is hiring a full-time Product Quality Engineer to join their team in Trenton, MI. This role is focused on ensuring product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The engineer will be responsible for reviewing contracts and production plans, implementing quality systems, leading inspections, investigating root causes of issues, collaborating with teams, and applying lean and Six Sigma techniques for corrective actions. Additionally, the role involves training inspectors, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement across operations. The company specializes in precision aerospace components, specifically brazed honeycomb assemblies for turbine engines in commercial and military markets, emphasizing system-driven, data-backed processes for quality, productivity, and delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Skilled in problem-solving and analysis
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and GD&T
• Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment
• Strong computer skills (MS Office)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Works well under pressure
• Ability to pass required vision and inspection standards
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to use PPE as required
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test

Nice To Haves

• Technical certification or Associate's degree preferred
