About The Position

The Product Program Support Specialist supports growth and member retention for the annual Cookie and Fall Product Programs by coordinating key tasks and projects that enhance Girl Scout engagement. This role assists with cookie booth recruitment, supports program rewards and events, and customer service to members and partners. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and comfort using a variety of online systems to manage information, respond to inquiries, and support program operations. This role helps connect more families with meaningful opportunities to participate in Girl Scout Product Programs.

Requirements

  • A self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight; is flexible, adaptable, self-manager, organized, and has a strong attention to detail; thrives in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize technology tools to effectively conduct virtual internal and external meetings and programs.
  • Proven oral and written communication abilities; demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues and communicate effectively with a diverse group of girls, volunteers, and staff.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent independent decision-making skills and strong resourcefulness.
  • Excellent technical computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as databases.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as required by position responsibilities.
  • Two years professional experience, preferably in areas such as customer service, communications, volunteer support, program delivery, and retail services.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with outside sales, event coordination, customer service, nonprofit work, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, responsive member and customer support in-person, by email, and by phone.
  • Maintains customer relationship management database (Salesforce) by entering information quickly and accurately, participate in efforts to improve efficiency.
  • Support the execution of key strategies to support Girl Scout participation and engagement.
  • Relationship-building with members and program partners.
  • Logistical support for program rewards, events, and cookie booth recruitment.
  • Assist with member inquiries for online Product Program management systems (Smart Cookies, Digital Cookie, and M2OS).
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the council, GSUSA staff, and colleagues from other councils.
  • Actively participate in all-staff meetings, staff in-service training, and other meetings.
  • When representing the council to both internal and external audiences, articulate GSRV’s desired image and position to all audiences.
  • Actively support the council’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, racial justice, and anti-racism.
  • Conduct all activities with a high degree of cultural competency.
  • Contribute to building a cohesive, flexible, and productive staff environment that demonstrates the values and mission of Girl Scouts and delivers high-quality customer service.
  • Subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout Movement.
  • Become a registered member of GSUSA.
