About The Position

The Product Planner for the Harness Shop creates manufacturing planning using EPICOR ERP for Harness Shop jobs. Solicits quotes from suppliers and prepares purchase requisitions for the procurement of required materials. Works closely with manufacturing, purchasing and quality staff, as well as program managers and engineers to develop complete and accurate planning.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen
High School diploma

Nice To Haves

AA degree in related discipline
3 or more years of applicable experience
1 or more years of experience with EPICOR ERP software

Responsibilities

Interpret engineered prints and engineering database to create manufacturing plans that completely and accurately direct manufacturing and procurement using EPICOR
Coordinate with program managers and engineers to ensure that product requirements are completely and accurately incorporated into planning
Work closely with manufacturing and production leads to ensure that fabrication and assembly processes are completely and accurately incorporated into planning
Work closely with quality engineering and quality assurance to ensure quality requirements are completely and accurately incorporated into planning
Prepare purchase requisitions and create purchase suggestions based on program requirements
Maintain product BOM; use BOM in parallel with the plan as a guide for creating purchase requisitions and purchase suggestions
Solicit quotes from suppliers as needed
Monitor purchased and manufactured parts
Track purchased and manufactured materials delivery dates and on-time status
Develop strong working relationships with the manufacturing departments and suppliers, work closely with them to resolve problems and issues
Keep program managers apprised of any changes or deviation from the plan
