About The Position

Sweetwater, the nations #1 online retailer of musical instruments and pro audio gear, is looking for a Product Photographer to join our Product Photography team! This position requires a solid knowledge of DSLR cameras, Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus, but not required. Product Photographers are responsible for creating the product images for Sweetwater Sound's website, print ads, and marketing tools. These images follow our shot list guides and custom lighting standards under the guidance of the Operations Managers and Photographer Specialists. Our Product Photographers ensure the item's images are representative of an accurate depiction of what the customer will receive. The photographer will have a good knowledge for lighting an array of different product’s colors and finishes to show texture, highlights, and realistic coloring using a strobe lighting system as well. The schedule for this role would be a consistent Monday-Friday position, starting at 10:00am and ending at 6:30pm.

Requirements

• Prior experience with lighting equipment
• Knowledge and understanding of DSLR cameras
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Being a team player with a positive attitude
• Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision
• A sharp mind with problem solving capabilities
• Physical stamina for constant kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting required for long periods of time while shooting

Nice To Haves

• Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for photographing various products within our wide-range of music gear categories.
• Staging, prepping, and creating custom lighting for every product that needs photographed.
• Capable of retouching and clipping paths in Photoshop.
• Communicate, catalog, and upload consistent photographs for the Merchandising team on requests they submit.
• Working on a team of individuals to accomplish all goals & shoots.
