As a Product Owner (PO), you will be paired with a talented and professional development team that is accustomed to taking on varied and complex challenges. The multidisciplinary team is responsible for setting up and developing a solution to accelerate the industrialization of artificial intelligence models. The team defines and deploys an automated processing chain with the objective of facilitating the training of artificial intelligence models to increase and facilitate the analysis of collected data. The team is composed of developers and artificial intelligence specialists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or any other related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Good command of French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Good communication skills, active listening, and openness to work with various stakeholders such as clients, project managers, scientists, designers, and the development team.
  • Good sense of organization, responsibility, and prioritization.
  • Intellectual curiosity, a desire to learn and diversify is essential.
  • Teamwork skills and fostering collective intelligence.
  • Ability for functional analysis and breakdown into functional blocks.
  • Good knowledge of English for writing technical documents, interacting, supporting and/or providing services to international clients, employees and/or partners, as well as foreign governmental authorities who do not speak French.
  • Must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for direct or indirect access to hardware, software, or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List, the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, the Canadian Industrial Security Program, the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Must be eligible for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and able to obtain a Canadian Enhanced Reliability security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Align the product vision with the strategic and functional challenges of the various stakeholders.
  • Understand the challenges of users and stakeholders, as well as the technological and budgetary limitations of the product, to make sound decisions in system construction to maximize performance and value addition.
  • Document the vision and functional roadmap of the product, defining its functions, technological needs, and evolutions.
  • Work in conjunction with other teams using the product to align their development roadmaps with the product roadmap.
  • Organize the quarterly project planning.
  • Validate the functional breakdown and ensure the consistency of all product functions.
  • Define and document the work plan and user stories, which are written and prioritized in a backlog.
  • Participate in the estimation of the entire development and support cost structure of the product.
  • Maintain and communicate the release plan to various stakeholders.
  • Prioritize user needs across different projects using the product to ensure alignment with the overall product vision, considering project constraints.
  • Communicate with stakeholders related to different projects using the product to consider issues that may impact product priorities and deliverables (project manager, UX designer, technical lead, scientists, clients, collaborators...).
  • Be responsible, jointly with the team, for meeting product delivery commitments.
  • Validate the team's work alignment with the product vision during sprint reviews.
  • Validate the quality of the team's work in sprint reviews by testing and executing system test scenarios.
  • Maintain and communicate the product roadmap to various stakeholders and product users.
  • Present the product internally and externally.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders related to the product to consider issues that may impact priorities and deliverables (project manager, UX designer, technical lead, scientists, clients, collaborators...).
  • May contribute, with the rest of the team, to the functional and user documentation of the developed solutions.
