About The Position

Provoke is seeking a Product Owner with 2-3+ years of experience to help shape, manage, and deliver custom software development products. This role involves working with teams that utilize Gen AI throughout the software development lifecycle. It is a client-facing, hands-on position that blends agile product ownership with delivery execution. The Product Owner will collaborate with designers, engineers, and client stakeholders to define and prioritize work that achieves measurable business outcomes. Travel to client sites may be required.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or related delivery roles for custom software development
  • Currently embracing and leveraging Gen AI professionally or personally
  • Proven ability to define and prioritize backlogs for digital or software products
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)
  • Comfortable working with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-facing mindset
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Consulting or professional services experience is a plus
  • Experience in CMS platforms, workflow automation, or customer-facing web apps is a bonus
  • Product certifications or training such as PSPO or CSPO are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and delivery teams to define and maintain a well-prioritized product backlog
  • Write, refine, and manage user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria that are clear and actionable
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and review sessions
  • Ensure team members understand business context and goals behind features and user stories
  • Validate features post-development and support release coordination activities
  • Lead effective meetings through preparation, facilitation of productive discussions, and driving to clear outcomes and action items
  • Participate in delivery planning and sprint execution with cross-functional teams
  • Help manage delivery timelines, team coordination, and status reporting
  • Raise delivery risks, blockers, and scope issues as they arise
  • Partner with tech leads and designers to ensure product feasibility and alignment
  • Track delivery KPIs (velocity, sprint completion, etc.) and contribute to retrospectives
  • Act as the voice of the customer and ensure stakeholder needs are well-represented in the backlog
  • Support client demos, working sessions, and alignment meetings
  • Help facilitate decision-making around priorities, MVP scope, and delivery tradeoffs
