ENFOS•Durham, NC

About The Position

ENFOS is a profitable, 25-year-old enterprise SaaS company serving leading industrial organizations. Its platform provides a centralized system of record for managing Environmental Obligations, supporting finance, accounting, operations, and compliance teams with governance, audit readiness, and operational scale. The platform supports the Environmental Obligation lifecycle and integrates financial, scientific, and operational workflows. The Product Owner will drive the next phase of platform evolution by owning backlog execution and delivery for a defined product area. Working closely with Engineering, QA, UX, and business stakeholders, this role translates ambiguous, high-stakes business problems into clear requirements, measurable outcomes, and scalable workflows. The role combines enterprise product execution, agile delivery, and AI-enabled software development, contributing both to internal product practices and AI capabilities in the ENFOS platform. The Product Owner will own and prioritize the product backlog; write stories, acceptance criteria, and Definitions of Done; lead agile ceremonies; and make scope and trade-off decisions. They will partner with Engineering on solution design and technical trade-offs, with QA on testing and release readiness, and with UX on workflow design and customer validation. They will also shape AI-enabled capabilities and their associated acceptance criteria and safeguards, use AI tools in daily product work, instrument releases and measure outcomes, engage customers and domain experts, and communicate priorities and risks to stakeholders. Success will be assessed through customer and business outcomes, backlog clarity and delivery predictability, product quality and audit defensibility, AI traceability, cross-functional collaboration, customer understanding, independent judgment, and effective use of AI.
