About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Product Owner for a 12+ month contract supporting the Market Risk Technology team at a global financial institution in Jersey City, New Jersey. The Product Owner defines the product vision and roadmap, manages and prioritizes the product backlog, and communicates priorities to stakeholders and the development team. The role works with business and risk managers to turn business needs into technical specifications for developers across Regulatory and other Global Markets programs. It also supports end-to-end IT change initiatives involving risk processes, systems, and metrics, including VaR, Stressed VaR, and risk sensitivities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of business and technology domains related to Market Risk.
• Strong understanding of market risk metrics and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III or FRTB.
• Prior experience delivering significant technical work within Global Markets Technology or Risk Technology at a large financial services company.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business, and quantitative model partners and stakeholders.
• Experience synthesizing complex data into actionable analysis and presentations for non-technical partners.
• Hands-on experience with Excel and SQL.
• Prior experience with Agile and JIRA.
• Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with Python and/or Quartz.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision and roadmap, prioritize stories in the product backlog, and communicate them to stakeholders and the development team.
• Collaborate with business and risk managers to define requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications for developers across Regulatory and other Global Markets workstreams.
• Support end-to-end IT change initiatives and implement changes to risk processes, systems, and metrics, including VaR, Stressed VaR, and risk sensitivities.
• Assist with analysis and testing of implementations.
• Ensure project governance and control processes around project delivery.
• Use market risk domain knowledge to manage delivery of market risk infrastructure changes.
