About The Position

Bits In Glass (BIG) is partnering with Convene AI, an AI-focused technology company, to find talented professionals to join BIG and work directly on Convene AI projects. Initially, you will be hired as an employee of Bits In Glass, working closely with the Convene AI team on their AI solutions. The role is expected to be with BIG for approximately 12-18 months, with the intention of transitioning to a permanent position directly with Convene AI. This role is the "tip of the spear," owning the client relationship, scope, and definition of done. It involves running discovery, converting business problems into AI requirements for a pod to build, and managing a weekly release cadence. As contracts are fixed-fee and outcome-based, scope discipline is crucial for profitability, carrying real commercial responsibility.

Requirements

  • 3–8 years in product ownership, delivery management, or client-facing consulting, with at least 2 years shipping software.
  • Track record of delivering under fixed-price or outcome-based commercial terms with financial consequences for scope discipline.
  • Fluency in agile delivery with a genuine weekly release cadence.
  • Sufficient technical literacy to challenge engineer estimates and understand AI system performance.
  • Working understanding of LLM-based systems capabilities and limitations, with the confidence to inform clients about feasibility.
  • Executive presence to lead steering committees with C-level clients.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada and willing to travel to client sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a top-tier strategy consultancy, Big Four, or a specialist delivery boutique.
  • Background as a business analyst, engineer, or data professional.
  • Familiarity with AI quality concepts: evaluation design, acceptance thresholds, and human-in-the-loop workflow design.
  • Experience running engagements alongside a separate change management partner.
  • Bilingual in English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Run discovery: map the current process, quantify pain points and financial impact, and identify where an agent creates measurable value.
  • Convert business problems into AI requirements with testable acceptance criteria, working with the AI Quality Engineer to make them measurable before build.
  • Own the outcome definition on outcome-based contracts, including what "working" means, how it's measured, who signs off, and consequences for missed thresholds.
  • Manage the client-provided domain expert, securing their time in writing and escalating availability issues promptly.
  • Manage scope ruthlessly to maintain a disciplined backlog and weekly releases.
  • Run the weekly cadence: demo to the client, capture feedback, re-prioritize, and focus the pod on high-value work.
  • Own stakeholder alignment across business, IT, security, procurement, and legal, engaging them early.
  • Partner with the client's change and adoption team to ensure system usage.
  • Track and report delivery health, including burn, risk register, decision log, and benefits realization against the agreed outcome.
  • Surface commercial risk early, acting as an early warning system for scope creep, weak executive sponsorship, and integration surprises.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to own client outcomes.
  • Work in four-person pods where decisions translate into shipped software quickly.
  • Work judged on value creation due to outcome-based commercial terms.
  • Direct work with senior operators who have led AI delivery at Fortune 500 scale.
  • Influence over ConveneAI's delivery model evolution.
  • Benefit from the support, culture, and established consulting expertise of Bits In Glass.
