About The Position

The Product Owner serves as the strategic and operational leader of the Linx Retrieval platform, a core revenue-generating product supporting a $400 million payer portfolio. This role owns and prioritizes the product backlog, defines requirements, drives sprint planning and cross-functional decision-making, and partners closely with business analysts, operations, clients, and development teams to deliver market-driven enhancements, ensure product quality, and align technology initiatives with organizational business objectives. This is a remote position. Sadly, we are on high alert for scams, imposters and application fraud. We employ comprehensive screening and verification methods. Any attempt at application fraud or misrepresentation will be identified and lead to immediate removal from consideration. Permanent work status (UCS/Greencard) is required. Employees must reside within and work within the continental U.S.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary education required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated Product Owner or Product Manager experience with full ownership and accountability for product strategy, roadmap execution, and backlog management.
  • Proven experience managing and prioritizing a mature, complex product backlog within a SaaS, platform, healthcare technology, or enterprise software environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, user story development, acceptance criteria creation, and release planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, detailed, and testable user stories and acceptance criteria for development and QA teams.
  • Experience partnering with and directing the work of Business Analysts while maintaining clear distinctions between Product Owner and Business Analyst responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of balancing competing stakeholder priorities, making data-driven tradeoff decisions, and delivering business value.
  • Strong aptitude for software development processes and experience working closely with software developers, QA teams, architects, and other IT professionals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate complex business requirements into actionable product solutions.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Jira or comparable Agile backlog management and project tracking tools.
  • Comfortable working with technical requirements, APIs, data integrations, and development teams without requiring hands-on coding experience.
  • Strong analytical and data literacy skills, including the ability to interpret SQL query results and validate requirements using data outputs.
  • Self-directed professional capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships across operations, client success, product, and development teams.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to create structure in ambiguous situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare technology experience, including payer operations, medical record retrieval, HCC coding, risk adjustment, clinical documentation, or revenue cycle management, preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise payer clients, health plans, or managed care organizations preferred.
  • Prior experience leading product initiatives involving platform migrations, system integrations, acquisitions, or platform consolidations preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance and security frameworks such as HITRUST, SOC 2, or similar regulatory standards preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Product Manager to fulfill product roadmap expectations
  • Executes “voice of the clients & stakeholders” processes to define critical software requirements
  • Actively participates in managing and prioritizing the products development backlog
  • Describes business problems & personas via development methodologies
  • Writes user stories & acceptance criteria
  • Ensures development team(s) know what we want to build
  • Provides visibility to development priorities, project status and estimates to complete
  • Makes timely decisions to support the product and development team’s goals
  • Performs QA testing (inclusive of relevant documentation)
  • Confirms product meets acceptance criteria
  • Validates working software with clients
  • Works in a team environment which will consist of software developers and other domain experts
  • Complies with all internal policies and procedures
  • Ensures individual compliance with all privacy and security rules and regulations; commit to the protection of all Company confidential information, including but not limited to, Personal Health Information
