About The Position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 9 month contract opportunity. This role will support the delivery of strategic business and technology capabilities within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. The Product Owner will partner with Product Managers, stakeholders, and development teams to define solutions, manage the backlog, create requirements, and ensure successful execution of roadmap objectives. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on translating business outcomes into features and user stories in a complex enterprise environment.

Requirements

• 4 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience
• 3 years of Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Agile delivery experience
• Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing Agile backlogs
• Experience working directly with software engineering teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within large enterprise technology organizations

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Lending, CRM, or related financial services platforms
• Familiarity with wholesale or institutional banking processes
• Experience supporting lending lifecycle, deal management, credit workflows, relationship management, or operational workflows
• Exposure to platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps, Salesforce / nCino, Microsoft Dynamics 365, LoanIQ, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Planner, or workflow and integration platforms
• Experience working in regulated financial services environments
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, and enterprise architecture concepts
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and product delivery practices

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the team backlog
• Translate features, epics, and business requirements into well-defined user stories
• Develop clear acceptance criteria and business rules
• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions with engineering and business partners
• Gather, document, and refine business requirements from stakeholders
• Create user stories, process flows, use cases, and functional requirements
• Serve as the primary day-to-day product contact for assigned delivery teams
• Partner with Product Managers and senior stakeholders to understand strategic priorities
• Build strong partnerships across business, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams
• Consider regulatory, compliance, audit, and operational risk requirements during solution design
