About The Position

Aviso Wealth is seeking a Product Owner to join the Client Experience, Marketing, and Communications (CXMC) team. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Product Owner will manage the product backlog and collaborate with Delivery Teams to realize the product vision. The goal is to maximize the value delivered by the team, ensuring the product experience is intuitive and enjoyable for customers, encouraging them to choose Aviso for their daily business. This role involves cultivating strategic partnerships, acting as a trusted advisor, and prioritizing client needs through data analysis. The Product Owner will focus on execution, delivering high-quality solutions, fostering collaboration, and leading the team towards peak performance by providing coaching, removing obstacles, and ensuring necessary resources are available.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience as a Product Owner or Manager, ideally in a fast-paced, Agile development environment
• 2+ years experience in Asset Management
• High digital savviness and comfort with a range of software, including MS Office Suite, SQL/Oracle database, Power BI, Smartsheet, Azure DevOPS, Google Analytics, MIRO, and Figma
• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles and experience with prioritization methods like Value vs Effort and RICE
• Creative thinker with a vision and ability to conceptualize innovative solutions and features
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills and the ability to clearly articulate product vision and strategy
• Fluent communication skills in English are required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong collaboration and experience working with cross-functional teams
• Understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Certifications in Product Ownership or Management, such as Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner are preferred
• bilingual skills in French are an asset

Responsibilities

• Draft product briefs that define objectives, strategies, and expected results
• Leverage data to make informed decisions about the product's direction to align with business goals
• Engage with stakeholders during visioning and concept development of the product, ensuring their input is considered, their expectations are managed, progress is reported, and concerns are addressed
• Perform discovery on relevant topics to gather information for requirements, initiating or advancing analysis efforts to inform product decisions
• Assess and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to align the team's work with the product strategy
• Manage the product backlog, plan iterations, and elaborate on user stories to provide the development team with clear and actionable tasks
• Take responsibility for the delivery of new features and updates, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring the development team understands items in the backlog
• Implement user-centric decision making by balancing user needs, IT constraints, and relationships with external partners to prioritize activities that maximize user value
• Look for ways to continuously improve the product and enhance the customer’s experience through user feedback, performance data, and industry trends
