About The Position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner for a hybrid position (minimum of 3 days per week) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for maximizing the value of a product by defining its vision and roadmap. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and with the development team to define, prioritize, and articulate stories in the product backlog. This role requires a working knowledge of the product and a basic understanding of the business or technology domain within a scaled Agile model.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with project management methodologies
• Proficiency with Agile tools, including Jira

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Scrum Master
• Experience with requirements gathering

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems
• Create, refine, and prioritize stories in the product backlog for the development team
• Ensure enough ready stories are available to load the next 1-2 sprints
• Review and accept completed stories, making on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements
• Partner with the team to ensure optimum value is obtained through technology and an advanced understanding of the business
