Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product managers or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities and creating the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products that meet the expectations of our clients, including features, security, availability, resiliency, timelines and costs. The Product Owner for the Payments Data Delivery Team is responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of data products and capabilities supporting payments initiatives. This role owns and manages the program backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer needs. The Product Owner collaborates closely with stakeholders, architecture, and delivery teams to define, prioritize, and refine epics and features that enable scalable and compliant payment data solutions. Key responsibilities include translating customer and business requirements into actionable backlog items, partnering with solution architects and design teams to support solutioning, and guiding feature teams through execution. The role also plays a critical part in SAFe Agile processes, including maintaining Program Increment (PI) objectives, aligning them to iteration goals, and ensuring delivery outcomes are measurable and aligned with strategic objectives. This position requires strong stakeholder engagement, a deep understanding of payments and data domains, and the ability to balance strategic priorities with execution-focused delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of domain expertise in Treasury Products: DDA, Client Liquidity, Payments, Receivables, Billing and Trade Finance
  • Deep financial domain expertise
  • Understanding of Banking and Treasury Value Chain
  • Proficient in articulating the business problem and the technical solution.
  • Must have the finesse to navigate within a large organization to influence big decision makers and win trust using people skills and technology knowledge
  • Proficient with eliciting business requirements, reviewing process flows, developing technical / system flows
  • Comfortable with reviewing technical designs, providing feedback and confirmation of alignment to desired capabilities
  • Deep understanding of Mater Data Management Principles and Applications
  • Strong record of initiative-taking and leadership in a work setting
  • Strong experience supporting technical delivery.
  • Experience in Agile Methodology preferably Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

  • Business analyst, JIRA, design, understanding of banking domain.
  • Proficient in the data technology space with an understanding of data constructs and technologies
  • Strong experience supporting technical delivery
  • Experience in Agile Methodology preferably Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Responsibilities

  • Generates the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain
  • Communicates the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems

  • Creates, prioritizes and refines stories in the product backlog
  • Reviews and accepts stories and makes decisions regarding scope and requirements
  • Partners with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through subject-matter expertise of the business
  • Product Owner is responsible for the Program Backlog
  • Responsible for identifying Customer needs, documenting requirements/features and prioritizing Epics/Features
  • Work closely with design team on solution architect and provide the business support
  • Work with PO to provide support on feature team
  • Maintain PI objectives created by teams during the PI Planning and map them to iteration goals
