About The Position

This role is for a Product Owner focused on Product Master Data Management (MDM). The position is located in Pittsburgh, PA, and is a hybrid role. The primary responsibilities include owning and prioritizing the product backlog, gathering and analyzing business requirements, writing user stories, and collaborating with various teams. The role also involves supporting Product MDM, data governance, and data quality initiatives, participating in Agile ceremonies, and improving business processes related to product data management. Additionally, the Product Owner will support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release planning, and post-production activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience with Product Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies.
  • Strong experience using Jira for backlog management.
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Knowledge of product data, data governance, and data quality.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, Informatica MDM, Reltio, PLM, or PIM.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with procurement, supplier management, or product lifecycle management.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or CSPO certification.
  • Experience with UX, user journey mapping, and usability improvements.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, metadata, and data integration.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience working in global enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog in Jira.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Write user stories and define acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT, data governance, procurement, and product teams.
  • Support Product MDM, data governance, and data quality initiatives.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and PI Planning.
  • Improve business processes, workflows, and product data management.
  • Support UAT, release planning, and post-production activities.
