About The Position

As a Product Owner II, you will be working within the Data and Automation Ontology Services team. This role combines data management, business process improvement, and AI solution development to help drive data quality, governance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with business stakeholders, data owners, and compliance teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve processes and deliver trusted data outcomes. Owns the vision and the definition of the product. Serves as the voice of the customer. Provides guidance to concentrate the Scrum Team(s) effort on correct priorities based on business value. Defines and conveys the vision to the team(s) in order to address client requirements to meet business objectives. Accountable for the creation of and the integrity of the product backlog. Prioritizes and leads grooming of the product backlog. Works in partnership with the Scrum Master(s) to ensure items are worked on in accordance with the product backlog. Serves as the primary point of contact for questions from the team(s). Accepts delivery of working product from the Scrum Teams(s). Reviews and validates Scrum Team(s) working product. Socializes the delivery of business value and outcomes of the iteration to various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in data engineering, data management, analytics, or application development.
  • Experience supporting or developing Agentic AI, Generative AI, Copilot, or other LLM-based solutions.
  • Strong SQL, data analysis, and requirements gathering skills.
  • Experience identifying data quality issues and implementing process improvements.
  • University / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

  • Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, prompt engineering, and data governance concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with business partners to understand data challenges and potential AI opportunities.
  • Reviewing operational data and AI-generated findings to identify data quality issues.
  • Working with Data Owners and Compliance teams to validate classifications, governance rules, and remediation plans.
  • Designing or refining prompts and AI workflows that analyze data quality and business processes.
  • Building proof-of-concept AI solutions using Microsoft AI and data platforms.
  • Reviewing AI outputs for accuracy, governance compliance, and business relevance.
  • Documenting requirements, recommendations, and solution designs.
  • Presenting findings and proposed improvements to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Owns the vision and the definition of the product.
  • Serves as the voice of the customer.
  • Provides guidance to concentrate the Scrum Team(s) effort on correct priorities based on business value.
