About The Position

The Independent Agent Distribution team is seeking a Product Owner to contribute to the development of the next generation of Q&I sales experiences for IA partners. This role involves owning a portion of the new Q&I sales platform, defining, optimizing, and expanding its features. The Product Owner will adopt a customer-first approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data to guide product vision and delivery. The Independent Agent Distribution team aims to create a best-in-class sales experience that attracts agents, drives new business, and establishes a market standard. The Product Owner will collaborate cross-functionally to develop journey maps, define OKRs, and gather feedback for the roadmap. This specific role will focus on building global patterns to enhance the scale and efficiency of the experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are curious, tenacious, and passionate about designing innovative customer-centric experiences.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, humanities, etc.).
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience with agile teams.
  • 7 years of experience in business, technology, or consulting.
  • Ability to depict and explain complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences.
  • Ability to educate SBU/department(s) on business vision, plan, and the impact of change.
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to make difficult and quick decisions daily.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to lead a team to drive solutions and progress.
  • Strong experimental mindset to drive innovation amongst uncertainty.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision and strategy for their scope of the sales experience, ensuring alignment with portfolio and organizational priorities.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, creating clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
  • Translate customer problems and business objectives into actionable work, guiding the squad towards the highest-value outcomes.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across business, technology, and executive leadership to manage expectations regarding timelines, capabilities, and trade-offs.
