About The Position

The Run My Business (RMB) Journey has embarked on an exciting series of initiatives to grow and enhance TD's deposit and transaction banking business. Reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial Deposits and Cash Management Services (CMS), the Product Owner Is responsible for go-to-market strategies for deposit and liquidity products for Commercial Banking clients. The Product Owner's accountabilities will focus on a suite of deposit products used by Commercial Banking clients including: Canadian and US Dollar operating accounts, savings accounts, term and GIC deposits; as well as deposit services including debit block, cash concentration and sweep structures as well as liquidity optimization solutions. The objective of the role is to help deliver innovative solutions that drive client growth while ensuring regulatory compliance and profitability.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Business Banking processes, products/ services and clients, ideally with previous experience in business deposits and liquidity management.
  • Thought leadership/ industry knowledge in deposit products.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance; take ownership of deliverables; navigate ambiguity.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology stakeholders in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Successful candidate will need to meet Business Banking return to office standards.
  • Undergraduate degree or product owner / management certificate and / or 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with Product Factory partners, define the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of business deposit and liquidity management products for Commercial Banking clients.
  • Drive deposit growth, profitability, client adoption, and retention by translating market trends, competitive insights, and client and sales feedback into prioritized product features and process enhancements.
  • As the product owner within an agile delivery model, translate business requirements into clear product and technical specifications, partnering closely with technology, operations, sales, and external vendors (as applicable) to modernize the client experience across digital and assisted channels.
  • Serve as primary subject matter expert for business deposit and liquidity products, supporting day‑to‑day inquiries and enabling frontline and operational teams.
  • Responsible for maintaining regulatory, compliance and control framework across the product suite, including AML, legal, privacy, and operational risk requirements; accountable for managing governance approvals with Legal, Compliance, Fraud, Operational Risk Management (ORM), and other control partners.
  • Maintain and refresh product documentation and sales enablement materials.
  • Support volume and transaction forecasting, contributing to P&L management and growth objectives.
