About The Position

DRACOE is the Decommission, Retire and Archive Center of Excellence. We provide a service to the company (all divisions and regions) for managing the systems and electronic data at the end of its production cycle. DRACOE provides a cost-effective Retirement and Archiving service that meets our Company's data retention obligations in a secure, locatable and consumable manner, ensuring confidence for internal and external stakeholders while driving savings in the infrastructure and application support costs and minimizing security risks to our Company's. As the Live Archiving Product Manager – you will be designing and implementing the new Live Archiving product. Your responsibility will be to discover, define and deliver the most valuable solutions for Live Archiving and Tiered Storage, and drive adoption of these solutions. You will play a critical role as a facilitator bridging business stakeholders, technology teams and our users and vendors, driving development of an enterprise solution to meet the Live Archiving needs for our entire organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role, specifically: Leadership of cross-functional teams to deliver successful products or services
  • Managing product vision, strategy, roadmaps and backlog throughout product lifecycle
  • Experience with Agile ways of working (e.g. product owner working with multiple scrum teams)
  • 5+ years of technology experience designing and implementing solutions with Data Storage/Big Data/Cloud, Network, Security, Data Migrations/ETL, Complex Structured and Unstructured
  • Experience building and owning strong vendor relationships
  • Experience with SaaS integration
  • Responsibility for Product's cost management and value delivery. Able to manage the Product Portfolio.
  • Strong listening, communication and facilitation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage dependencies across multiple teams and product initiatives
  • Ability to balance business and user needs with technology and regulatory constraints
  • Understand Data Governance concepts and principles

Nice To Haves

  • Pharma background or experience in another highly regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of the system development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Design thinking, user research or usability testing experience
  • Management (MDM) and Governance

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Live Archiving solutions implemented are consistent with our company’s evolving Data Governance strategy and direction, making data available in a frictionless manner in coordination with foundational data teams
  • Create trusted relationships with stakeholders, development team and users to help shape and drive the product vision
  • Continuously discover and prioritize the best opportunities to deliver business value and meet the needs of our users
  • Champion the product, driving excitement and support in a domain typically resistant to change
  • Author, prioritize and manage the product roadmap and backlog in partnership with process owners, the development team and key stakeholders
  • Dive deep into the compliance domain to understand the business priorities and user needs
  • Partner with the development team to understand technology constraints and opportunities
  • Leverage user feedback and product metrics to enable data-driven decisions
  • Manage project escalations, issues, risks and dependencies
