About The Position

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Product Operations Mgr II to join their team. This role is responsible for driving the end-to-end localization process for Commerce and Legal for all core projects and supported content, focusing on both execution and long-term improvements. The individual will think about strategic and technical solutions to achieve business goals, ensure team resources align with those goals, and drive technical implementations with engineering teams to improve development and create a more engaging global Disney+ product. The role focuses on enabling tools and efficiencies to ensure processes and systems run smoothly, preventing localization from being a blocker. The Product Operations Mgr II will communicate business and legal requirements to engineers, designers, language-service providers, localization QA, and other stakeholders, identify and gather consensus among groups, and resolve blockers in other teams. They will also help core product teams, designers, and engineers recognize international requirements to create culturally and linguistically appropriate products, and provide up-to-date visibility and communication for large projects and team goals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management and within the Globalization/Localization Product field.
  • BA or MA in an area related to international product management, localization, project management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Track record of managing and releasing complex and high-quality globalized products in collaboration with core product teams.
  • Knowledge of globalization best practices and internationalization requirements.
  • Background establishing process, supporting teams, developing relationships, and managing end-to-end for multiple localization programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience interacting with senior leadership.
  • Track record of being a self-starter, self-motivated and outcome-oriented individual who seeks ownership and accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 to 7 years of hands-on program management experience in Globalization Operations or Globalization Program Management.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about excellence and attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of translation management systems (TMS), computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools, and automation technologies.
  • Proven experience in integrating GenAI, Neural Machine Translation (NMT), and LLMs into localization pipelines and content workflows.
