This position requires the worker to transfer full racks of product from the various packaging lines to the crust tunnel for further transfer to WP. Workers may move one, two or even three racks at one time depending on how busy the area is and how heavy the racks are. The racks are moved into the entrance of the crust tunnel by workers. The crust tunnel is a subzero freezer tunnel that is designed to apply a thin layer of ice to the outer most layer of the various products that are passed through it. Occasionally a rack may tip, or product may need to be rearranged in each tray and the worker will be required to lift product from floor level up to above shoulder level. Movers rotate through the lines every 2 hours or are directed to the region of the line that demand requires. Approximately 1700 racks are moved during a shift, this requires 340 racks per worker or 1 rack every 40 seconds. Area Supervisors will perform restacking if needed. If minor basket product arranging is needed workers may be required to lift the items listed below. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of the ready-to-eat business at a leading food company, directly supporting our mission, vision, and values. You will play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality food and great moments for millions of families.
