About The Position

The Product Analyst is responsible for supporting their manager in developing, communicating, and executing annual/multi-year strategic plans for a Celebrations product category (e.g., Greeting Cards, Gift Packaging, Party Goods/Decorations, Stickers, or Stationery). The Analyst will stay in-tune with and ahead of consumer needs, product trends, the competitive environment and margin/cost factors.

Requirements

• 1+ years of prior retail/consumer product experience, or equivalent internship work, demonstrating ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical
• Demonstrates the following Leadership Competencies: Inspirational Leadership, Highly Collaborative, Customer Centric, Accountability, Results Focused, Financial Acumen
• Demonstrates the following Category Team Strategic Capabilities: Analytical Skills, Communication/Presentation Skills, Project Management Skills, Consumer Insight, Product Aptitude
• Strong PC skills to include excellent knowledge of MS Office

Responsibilities

• Supports development of master product catalogue (including size, contents, price mix, and COGS) and collaborates with Occasion and Creative teams to add new items to master catalogue as needed
• Responsible for analyzing point-of-sale data, consumer research, retail observations, industry trends, etc., to inform price and format mix within a master catalogue as well as product refresh
• Gathers and organizes insights in a manner that guides strategic thinking and retail strategy development
• Understands the key drivers of perceived value and cost of goods for assigned category
• Responsible for the on-time and accurate delivery of occasion line lists, consisting of documentation of key item-level information
• Supports cost management efforts for assigned category
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on simplification
