The Apple Media Product Design group is seeking a technical visual designer to spec end-to-end product artwork behavior. This role works deeply and collaboratively with Product Designers, Editorial Designers, Engineering, and Producers to ensure that product artwork and tools function as envisioned by Design. The ideal applicant will be a visually creative professional but with honed technical chops, possess extreme levels of focus to identify edge cases, and the vision to forecast project scalability on an international level for production teams. It is important for the applicant to think through the butterfly effect of seemingly small product choices when taken to production scale by Editorial Content Designers worldwide. Common themes for the day to day will consist of: Meticulous planning of artwork behavior across all supported LOBs, Pitching artwork planning presentations to Engineering and Design, Handing off and training designers on the final production Photoshop templates, all the way through defining the methods, tools and behavior used for publishing to the end Apple product/device user. This position is an exciting mix of technical and subjective skills, truly an intersection of liberal arts and technology.
