About The Position

Media Specialists work as a collaborator, change agent, and leader to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information; students are empowered to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information; to instill a love of learning in all students and ensure equitable access to information; and to collaborate with teachers to design and implement instruction, and assess student learning.

Requirements

• School Librarian Certification
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication.
• Ability to provide the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that the school library media program is aligned with the mission, goals, and objectives of the school and is an integral component of the learning/instructional program.

Nice To Haves

• Classroom teaching experience and/or media specialist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
• Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated.
