The Director will own product marketing end-to-end, working closely with the Head of Marketing, CPO, and Product teams. The first year will focus on establishing positioning, narrative, sales kits, launching the product, and securing initial customers. CHEQ is a global company specializing in cybersecurity technology, offering an integrated Traffic, Threat, and Identity Intelligence Engine to help businesses differentiate between legitimate users and malicious actors in the Human-AI Era.

Requirements

  • Experience building product marketing for a new product, category, or company from an early stage.
  • Proven experience marketing to security, identity & access management, and fraud & risk buyers, such as CISOs, Application Security, Fraud & Risk, CIAM and Trust & Safety teams.
  • A track record of working closely with Sales teams selling into these buyers, with a clear understanding of how they evaluate and buy.
  • The ability to understand technical products, APIs, and integrations and explain their value to both technical and business audiences.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the judgment to prioritize when little is defined yet.
  • Excellent English writing and presentation skills, with the ability and willingness to create substantive content yourself.
  • Strong research, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing solutions that protect customer accounts, manage authentication and access, detect bots, or prevent online fraud and abuse.
  • Experience working with technology and business partners on joint messaging, campaigns, and sales enablement.
  • Understanding of how AI agents change the way organizations identify users, assess risk, and decide which activity to allow.

Responsibilities

  • Define the ICP, personas, and buying committee across CISOs and security leadership, Application Security, Fraud and Risk, and Trust & Safety teams.
  • Turn product vision and research into a clear market narrative and category story.
  • Own positioning, messaging, and value propositions that differentiate capabilities and demonstrate business value.
  • Run message testing with early customers and design partners to refine the market story.
  • Help shape pricing, packaging, and the go-to-market playbook with Product and Sales leadership.
  • Hold a seat in roadmap reviews and join regular syncs with Product and Research.
  • Co-own launch readiness with the CPO.
  • Bring customer, market, and competitive insight back into product decisions.
  • Create sales and marketing content, including solution briefs, presentations, battle cards, customer stories, and demo narratives.
  • Train Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success with discovery guidance, objection handling, and competitive insights.
  • Partner with Demand Generation, bringing audience insight, messaging, and offers to their programs.
  • Develop joint value propositions, integration narratives, and content for partner enablement and co-marketing.

Benefits

  • Total compensation package may also include a variable component.
