About The Position

As a Product Manager – Plumbing & Mechanical Power Tools, you’ll be part of our Tools and Outdoor team working as a hybrid employee in Towson, MD. You’ll get to be an expert on the products’ end-user workflows and applications within the mechanical and plumbing construction trades. You will gather and apply market, customer, end-user, and competitive insights to inform product decisions, positioning, and portfolio recommendations. You will support business case development for programs through market opportunity assessment and financial modeling alongside finance teams. You will translate end-user requirements into a defined product scope and feature set alongside chief engineer for new product programs. You will own the product development process for assigned new power tool programs to support execution of overall DEWALT commercial product strategy. You will work closely with engineering and brand teams from programming inception all the way through product launch. You will help develop go-to-market strategies alongside Category, Brand, Channel, and Sales Management teams. You will manage the existing product portfolio by measuring sales and margin data, market intelligence, and user feedback to drive decision making and business recommendations to drive growth. You will drive commercial success through development of educational materials for sales and distribution partners. You will work with global teams to support and refine global strategy for your product category.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience; supporting plumbing, mechanical power tools, electrical tools, consumer products, accessories, hardware, outdoor products, or other durable goods categories preferred.
  • 2+ years of successfully commercializing and deploying effective go-to market strategies for driving core and new product categories.
  • Understanding or experience with power tools, user Applications, with a history of developing solutions to key user pain points.
  • Ability to analyze vast amounts of information to understand complex enterprise problems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • experience using PowerBI, SAP/BW, Metastorm, Windchill or Qlikeview is a plus.
