Agentic Code Review Product Manager
About The Position
Sonar is seeking a Product Manager to lead the roadmap for Gitar, their recently acquired agentic code review platform. The role involves working hands-on with the Gitar founding team and the engineering organization to integrate Gitar into Sonar's broader verification platform. The Product Manager will be responsible for researching developer and engineering leader needs in agentic code review, defining product positioning in a competitive landscape, and translating these insights into a roadmap for the Gitar and Sonar teams. This role is part of the Product Management team and requires collaboration with Gitar engineering, Sonar sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure the roadmap aligns with customer needs and the future vision of the combined SonarQube + Gitar experience. The ideal candidate will have experience shipping developer tools or AI-native products, be comfortable operating in ambiguity, and possess strong Product Management skills to help scale Gitar as a core component of AI-generated code review.
Requirements
- Passionate about AI-native developer tools and the shift toward agentic software development.
- Experience in software product management, ideally for developer tools, DevOps, CI/CD, or code review/quality product.
- Technical fluency with SDLC tooling — Git, CI/CD pipelines, pull request workflows, and source-control platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps).
- Familiar with the AI technologies powering coding agents - LLMs, agent harnesses, and how they plan, call tools, and take action inside a developer's workflow.
- Understanding of AI/LLM-based products, including the trust, safety, and data-handling considerations enterprise buyers care about.
- Highly autonomous and pragmatic, with an obsession for solving external customer problems; comfortable partnering directly with founders and a small, fast-moving team.
- Excellent cross-functional collaborator, able to align product, engineering, sales, and marketing around a shared roadmap.
- Open-minded and very positive can-do attitude.
- Comfortable in dealing with change, complexity, and uncertainty, and operating with the speed and ambiguity of an early-stage, recently-acquired product.
- Self-confident enough to challenge the status quo as well as to receive feedback.
- Leadership: you take initiative and demonstrate your ability to lead a subject from beginning to end.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and communicate the agentic code review vision, internally and externally.
- Research, clarify, and prioritize opportunities to build and maintain an effective roadmap for Gitar in close partnership with the Gitar founding team.
- Interact directly with users and customers to support them, integrate their feedback, and identify opportunities.
- Ensure Gitar continues to meet enterprise trust requirements (e.g., self-hosted deployment, SOC 2, and data residency).
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and translate it into clear product differentiation and positioning.
- Work closely with other product managers to design cross-product features.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success to support deals, objection handling, and enablement content as Gitar scales inside Sonar's go-to-market motion.
- Help the Product Management team grow in its organization, tools, and processes.
- Attend conferences and give talks if desired.
