About The Position

Providge is seeking an experienced Product Manager to support the Security Engineering team within our client's IT division. This is a high-impact role focused on driving the strategy, development, and delivery of enterprise security solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex security requirements into actionable product strategies and roadmaps. This role plays a critical part in strengthening the organization’s cybersecurity posture by leading initiatives in areas such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), cloud security, DevSecOps, and security automation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience.
  • At least three (3) years of product management, product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.
  • At least six (6) years in product management, engineering, and/or management consulting.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of product management experience, with at least four (4) years focused on working with security engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, managing backlogs, and delivering roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies related to Identity and Access Management (IAM), security engineering, network security design, security operations, security architecture, general engineering processes, cloud security, data loss protection, zero trust, DevSecOps, and vulnerability management.
  • Security Engineering mindset with Subject Matter Expertise and hands-on experience in a security domain.
  • Demonstrated experience streamlining and automating business processes through technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated federal experience and comprehensive knowledge in adopting and implementing federal cybersecurity requirements, including but not limited to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, OMB Memorandum M-22-09, NIST SP 800-53.
  • US Citizenship
  • Possess deep analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting experience to independently resolve complex security challenges.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaborating closely with engineering and DevOps teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex security concepts for various audiences
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Extensive experience working with engineering teams and enterprise architects
  • Experience defining and driving product strategy for security engineering-related initiatives
  • Ability to translate complex technical security engineering concepts into clear product requirements
  • Ability to effectively manage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and processes.
  • Experience managing the delivery, ongoing success, and continuous improvement of one or more digital products and/or platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog for security engineering initiatives, including but not limited to: Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management, Security tooling and automation, High level customer support.
  • Gather and synthesize requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders to inform strategy and prioritization decisions.
  • Support enhanced understanding and availability of policy and process requirements across the organization.
  • Translate regulatory requirements, policy, and stakeholder needs into well-defined product/process requirements and user stories.
  • Develop product roadmaps for security engineering automation tools and help drive measurable improvements in efficiency and risk reduction.
  • Manage and prioritize the team backlog, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategy.
  • Manage stakeholder communication, alignment, and transparency about roadmap and outcomes.
  • Measure outcomes and use feedback and data to inform continuous improvement of processes and services.
  • Lead one or more multi-disciplinary agile delivery teams to deliver excellent new products and/or iterations to existing products to meet user needs.
  • Gather user requirements based on a communicable understanding of diverse audience groups.
  • Create effective, prioritized product descriptions, and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost-effective way.
  • Manage a product roadmap for a set of features from inception through implementation; collect requirements, establish key performance metrics, craft the user experience, and drive execution.
