About The Position

As a Product Manager on Best Buy's Search & Discovery Core Relevance team, you will help define and deliver search capabilities that enable millions of customers to discover products across our omnichannel experience. You'll partner closely with engineering, machine learning, data science, analytics, UX, and business teams to identify opportunities, set priorities, and drive measurable improvements in customer engagement and business outcomes. This role combines product strategy, search relevance, experimentation, and cross-functional leadership to ensure customers can quickly and seamlessly find what they need. Success requires a customer-focused mindset, strong analytical skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to influence teams through complex technical and business challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience or related experience building e-commerce search or personalization capabilities
  • 5+ years of experience using data, experimentation, and customer insights to drive product decisions and measure outcomes
  • 1+ year of experience in strategy creation, customer-focused solutioning, cross-functional leadership, etc.
  • Demonstrable ability to influence priorities and drive alignment across multiple teams and competing priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of product management experience focusing on e-commerce search ranking
  • Familiarity with ranking feature engineering, learning to rank, various tradeoffs, human evaluation and behavioral opportunity assessment
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with machine learning and data science teams
  • Experience with building agentic experience and capabilities for omnichannel e-commerce

Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver search relevance capabilities, including ranking, feature engineering, HITL evaluation, and learning-to-rank initiatives
  • Partner with engineering, data science, analytics, and business teams to identify and prioritize opportunities that improve search engagement, conversion, and customer experience
  • Use customer insights, experimentation, analytics, and evaluation data to identify opportunities, validate solutions, and measure impact
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics across search experiences on web and app platforms
  • Balance customer needs, business goals, and technical considerations to support prioritization and product decisions
  • Contribute to roadmap planning, prioritization, OKRs, and continuous improvements to the scalability and performance of search and discovery experiences
