About The Position

The Product Manager for Propanol, Propyl Acetate, and Propionaldehyde within the Intermediates US Business Line is responsible for driving the strategic direction, commercial performance, of the defined product portfolio globally. This role sits at the intersection of market strategy, commercial excellence and customer-facing commercialization, ensuring that products meet market needs while achieving revenue and profitability goals. The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, and HSE standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience, with at least 2-5 years in marketing/product management within the chemicals or flexographic printing industry.
  • Demonstrated track record in commercializing chemical intermediates or specialty chemicals, including product launches, segmentation, pricing and portfolio management.
  • Strong business and financial acumen: able to build business cases, analyse P&L impacts, make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to negotiate Pricing and Contracts.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), CRM platforms, and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to support pricing, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to translate market data into actionable commercial strategy.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and collaboration skills across functions and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short and long term product strategies aligned with business objectives for n- Propanol, n-Propyl Acetate, and Propionaldehyde.
  • Prepare demand forecasting and portfolio planning activities.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to align production planning with commercial strategy and market outlook.
  • Own product pricing strategy, margin targets, and profitability management.
  • Translate market and customer needs into clear product requirements.
  • Identify and execute growth initiatives in solvent-based inks, flexographic printing, packaging, coatings, and adjacent applications.
  • Lead and support customer trials, qualifications, and product conversions in collaboration with Sales and Technical teams.
  • Evaluate competitive landscape, supply-demand dynamics, and regulatory developments to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Evaluate competitor offerings, pricing structures and positioning to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with commercial teams to build robust market segmentation and value-proposition models.
  • Participate in strategic customer discussions where portfolio positioning, supply strategy, and long-term agreements are critical.
  • Provide market intelligence and commercial insights to management to support portfolio decisions and product allocation.
  • Develop business cases for capital investment, product development and market expansion.
  • Support Sales teams through training, technical guidance, and development of customer-facing materials.
  • Lead cross functional team that include sales, finance, marketing, supply chain and operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement project related to market growth, margin expansion, cost optimization and process efficiency.
