About The Position

As a Product Manager for Platform, you will own the foundation of Tenstorrent's developer experience: firmware, system software, packaging, and updates. Today, getting started with Tenstorrent hardware means navigating multiple repositories, docs pages, and shell scripts. Your job is to turn that into one product developers install once and trust forever. You’ll build in the open, partnering with our open source community to continually raise the bar on developer experience. You’ll own the unified Tenstorrent CLI: a single entry point to our entire software stack. One command, every device, every workflow, from bare-metal bring-up to production model serving. This role is remote and based in North America, with hubs in Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; and Toronto, ON. We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

Requirements

Technical background, comfortable diving into code and repos to understand firmware, drivers, and runtimes.
Ability to define high-level objectives and direction for highly technical products.
Bias for action, finding creative solutions and shipping even with ambiguous paths.
Developer-focused mindset, dogfooding everything as a customer would.
Understanding of the importance of foundations like terminals, installers, updates, versioning, and error messages for developer trust.
Experience with firmware, system software, packaging, and updates.
Experience defining and launching a CLI product.
Experience defining success metrics like developer NPS and CLI adoption.
Ability to work in the open with a community.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Own the foundation of Tenstorrent's developer experience: firmware, system software, packaging, and updates.
Turn the current process of getting started with Tenstorrent hardware into a single, installable product.
Build in the open, partnering with the open source community.
Own the unified Tenstorrent CLI: a single entry point to the entire software stack.
Wrangle firmware, system software, packaging, and updates into a coherent platform with one roadmap and a single product interface.
Own the unified Tenstorrent CLI from definition to launch, including command surface, installation and packaging, versioning and deprecation policy, telemetry, and coexistence with existing tools.
Provide crisp priorities and clear direction for highly technical engineering teams, with defined success metrics like developer NPS and CLI adoption.
Act as a partner for engineering, DevRel, and customer teams, prioritizing blocked developers and working in the open with the community.
