About The Position

The Lighting Manager leads and develops a high-performing project team while driving efficient execution of lighting projects from start to finish. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Operations, and HR to deliver exceptional customer experiences, grow profitable lighting initiatives, and continuously improve team performance. The Lighting Manager oversees daily project operations, sets performance metrics, supports employee development, and plays a key role in strategic planning, customer engagement, and market growth. This position balances leadership, collaboration, and operational excellence while serving as a trusted resource for customers, vendors, and employee owners.

Responsibilities

  • Reinforce pre-determined process around how projects move through the team and identify areas of improvement within that process.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Project Team, establishing efficiency metrics.
  • Work with HR to develop a team of employee-owners to their highest performance possible.
  • Direct activities of project administrators and quotations specialists.
  • Working closely with sales management on strategy and/or strategy implementation.
  • Resolve customer and vendor disputes.
  • Participate in annual planning process.
  • Identify projects where Instant Rebate Program can be utilized.
  • Work with Marketing to drive promotions.
  • Work with purchasing on inventory levels for the Stock Guide to drive adequate inventory turns.
  • Build positive relationships with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Participate in joint sales calls to understand customer needs.
  • Work with operations regarding logistics around managing jobs.
  • Conduct performance reviews annually.
  • Complete time and attendance for reports.
  • Market capabilities internally and externally.
  • Address underperformance and develop improvement plans for underperformers.
  • Conduct monthly team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as obvious or assigned.
