We’re currently seeking a Product Manager with deep experience in automotive aftermarket accessories , specifically automotive light bulbs and lighting solutions (halogen, LED, HID, smart lighting, and emerging technologies). Thi s role own s the end-to-end product lifecycle , and serves as the technical authority for product fitment, applications, and compatibility across the automotive lighting portfolio. Major Responsibilities The Product Manager sits at the intersection of product, engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure our products not only perform technically, but also meet real-world vehicle application needs and regulatory requirements—delivering solutions customers can trust.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in B usiness , Engineering, or related field preferred , or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- 4 + years relevant work experience in p roduct management within automotive aftermarket or vehicle-dependent consumer products , and ideally direct experience with automotive lighting or light bulb products .
- Hands-on experience with vehicle fitment , application data, and catalog accuracy.
- Strong working knowledge of automotive lighting technologies, bulb types and regulatory standards .
- Thrive in an innovative work environment where status quo is not an option .
- Proven experience working in reporting software to analyze metrics and support ROI (Advanced Excel, Tableau, or PowerBI) .
- Experience working with overseas manufacturers and cross-functional global teams .
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap Own the product roadmap for automotive lighting and related accessories
- Identify new product opportunities based on vehicle parc data, application coverage gaps, market trends, and customer insights
- Define product vision, success metrics, and long-term category strategy
- Create and maintain fitment application guides
- Technical Ownership: Fitment & Applications Act as the subject-matter expert for vehicle fitment, bulb applications, and compatibility across platforms and model years
- Define and validate application coverage, interchangeability, and performance requirements
- Partner with quality, and suppliers to ensure products meet fitment, performance, and durability standards
- Ensure accuracy of application data used for catalogs, packaging, and digital fitment tools
- Product Development & Execution Lead product development from concept through commercialization
- Own product requirements documents (PRDs), technical specifications, and validation criteria
- Balance technical feasibility, cost, compliance, and customer needs in product decisions
- Manage development timelines, risks, and trade-offs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product Marketing Managers to support positioning, launches, and technical storytelling
- Partner with Sales online reviews, customer questions, and technical escalations related to fitment and applications
- Lifecycle & Performance Management Own product performance post-launch, including application expansions, line extensions, refreshes, and rationalization
- Analyze sales, returns, warranty data, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Make data-driven recommendations on pricing, assortment, and investment priorities
